City of San Antonio Taxi Fare Information

All taxis charge $2.50 for the first one sixth of a mile and $2.60 for each mile thereafter (Plus gas surcharge, if applicable). Wait time and traffic delay is $24/hour. There is a $1 surcharge for all trips that originate between 9 PM and 5 AM. The minimum downtown fare is $5. The minimum airport departure fare is $11.50. Many outlying communities have minimum fares. Please check our Service Areas page for more information about minimum fares or our telephone operators will gladly provide these upon request. There is no charge for additional passengers. All passengers ride for the price of one.
